摘 要: 自“五四”运动以来,现代中国科学观经历了几次大的转变。“科玄论战”的结果确立了科 学受尊崇的地位,“实用至上”的科学观限制了纯理论研究相对独立的发展, 对“伪科学”的批判突出了科学精神的核心价值,科学文化的比较研究开启了对科学的多元 化理解。现代中国科学观的演变,是在中西文化相互交融和冲突的社会环境中展开的。对科 学的误解和误用在一定时期内在所难免。不断清除对科学的误解和误用,正是中国科学事业 顺利发展的重要保证。

Abstract: Since the “May Fourth Movement”, the view on modern science evolved and underw ent several major changes and, as the result of the historic argument of scienceagainst metaphysics, science prevailed. However, the “Pragmatic Approach First ” view on science restricted the relatively independent development of the puretheoretical research. The criticism to “pseudo-science” highlighted the corevalues of scientific spirit, while the comparative study on science and cultureopened the diverse understanding of science. So, the evolution of the view on m odern science in China went forward in such a social environment that the Chines e and West cultures were mingled with each other and, meanwhile, they were in co nflict. In such a historic background, the misunderstanding and misuse of scienc e were inevitable to a certain extent in a certain period. To eliminate uninterr uptedly the misunderstanding and misuse of science is necessary to guarantee thesuccess……
